What Is Lower Third

The lower third is the bar that appears at the bottom of the screen on news channels. It displays breaking news, a reporter’s name, or a guest introduction. Meaning, if you’re watching TV and there’s an update in a scrolling line at the bottom, that’s the lower third.

I find it very useful, especially when the sound is off or someone else is doing something else. Just a glance tells you what’s going on. Some channels show it with animation, which makes it even more fun to watch.

What Is Green Screen How To Use It

If you want to make green screen videos, it’s very easy, just keep a few things in mind. I’ll explain it to you in simple terms:

1. First, shoot on a green screen

You’ll need a clean green cloth or background. Pay special attention to the lighting, because if there are shadows, it will be a problem later. And yes, don’t wear green clothes yourself, otherwise you’ll disappear with the background too!

2. Put it in video editing software

When the shooting is complete, import the video into an editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut. Then place this video on the timeline.

3. Apply an effect to remove the green screen

Now apply the effect of “Ultra Key” (if you’re using Premiere Pro) or “Keylight” (if you’re using After Effects). Then click on the green color with the eyedropper tool, and the background will disappear. If the edges are not clear, adjust the tolerance and softness a little.

4. Add a new background

Now you can add a background of any place, any beautiful photo or video, that you like. Just put the new background in the bottom layer, and the video is ready!

When everything looks good, export the video and save it. Now your own professional green screen video is ready!
